Dark Emu: a book review

Dark Emu has shaken me, it has shaken the foundations of my very existence, torn away layers of conditioning that has been provided for me over the years. It is that serious a book.  As I have now discovered it is not the first to lay out the notion of a more developed people inhabiting this country than was the view of the original English settlers. Beyond?

You know you are getting old when you have the following happen to you. We were sitting in the car at traffic lights when my wife innocently asked me “How do you feel about dying?”. I thought about it as we travelled through the intersection and then blurted out “I’m quite looking forward to it really”, a response that nearly caused my wife to run off the road. News has come through of yet another drug related death at a music festival. What a dichotomy, a festival of youthful enthusiasm and enjoyment of music marred by a death from a drug presumably taken to heighten the enjoyment and experience of the occasion. What a waste. Milestones

I was surprised to receive a message from WordPress recently in which they congratulated me on passing the 100 posts published mark. This was not something I had been monitoring nor setting a target to reach but I was both pleased with myself on one hand for having reached that number and a little annoyed on the other that I hadn’t posted more by now.
